I stood on the shore
looking out to the sea!
Blue skies, white clouds, brown sand,
A lone tree stood out in the distance.
Steep rocks, jagged ends and deep scars
have their own story to tell.
I have mine too…
Mine is all discoloured and fading, like tearing strip by strip
cannot see the whole picture anymore.
Stuck on an island, surrounded by water, nowhere to go!
Wherever you look the sea stretches out like a big duvet,
ready to swallow you in.
I need to reach the other side, my folks are waiting…..
the picture is fading away fast.
